Commercial metal roof cleaning removes moss, algae, dirt, debris and other growth that can eat away at the roofing material and shorten the roof's lifespan.
There are a variety of reasons to perform metal roof cleaning, including but not limited to:
1. Improved Aesthetics: Over time, metal roofs can accumulate dirt, debris, and other organic matter, making them look dull and unsightly. Regular cleaning can restore your roof’s original shine and improve the overall appearance of your property.
2. Prevents Damage: Dirt, debris, and organic matter can cause damage to your metal roof over time. If left uncleaned, these materials can trap moisture, which can lead to rust and corrosion. Regular cleaning can prevent this damage and prolong the life of your roof.
3. Energy Efficiency: A clean metal roof reflects sunlight, reducing the amount of heat absorbed into your building. This can help reduce your cooling costs during hot weather.
4. Early Detection of Issues: During the cleaning process, professionals can identify potential issues such as rust, corrosion, or damage to the roof’s coating. Early detection can prevent small issues from becoming major problems that can be costly to repair.
While it’s possible to clean your metal roof yourself, hiring a professional cleaning company can offer several benefits:
1. Safety: Metal roofs are often steep and can be dangerous to walk on, especially if you’re not experienced. Professional cleaners have the proper equipment and safety gear to ensure a safe cleaning process.
2. Experience: Professional cleaning companies have experience working with different types of metal roofs and can clean them effectively without causing damage.
3. Time and Cost-Effective: Hiring a professional cleaning company can save you time and money in the long run. Professionals have the tools, equipment, and expertise to clean your roof quickly and efficiently, saving you the time and effort required to do it yourself.
4. Quality Results: Professional cleaners use high-quality cleaning products and techniques to ensure that your roof is thoroughly cleaned and restored to its original condition.
We utilize a commercial water variable power washer and liquid detergent inject through machine to remove moss, algae, mildew, dirt, debris, grime, etc. Next, we apply zinc sulfate powder moss inhibitor to roof to slow the growth of moss going forward. We will also remove dirt, grime, leaves, debris, etc. from inside the gutter and use hose as needed to remove grime from bottom and sides of inside of gutters. Next, we flush out the downspouts clearing them of any blockages ensuring proper drainage. Finally, we rinse any residue resulting from the roof and gutter cleaning off siding and windows and remove and/or dispose of debris utilizing drainage filters where necessary.
Once the moss, algae, mildew, dirt, debris, grime, etc. has been removed and the zinc sulfate powder moss inhibitor has been applied, annual application of the the zinc sulfate powder moss inhibitor should prevent the need for additional roof cleaning.
