Cleaning More Efficiently
Often, cleaning is the last thing anyone wants to do at the end
of the day. Here are some tips to make cleaning go smoother.
Try to have things organized so that each object has a place.
For example, have a place for mail, bills, coupons, etc. rather
than putting them in one big pile.
Making constant trips back and forth is a major time killer. By
looking at a room before you go to another room, you can see
things that need to be moved there. This applies to cleaning
as well. Try to finish each room completely before moving onto
the next room. This way you won’t have to walk around the
house multiple times.
After you eat, put dishes into the dishwasher instead of
leaving them in the sink. This saves a step. Unload the
dishwasher as soon as possible so you are not constantly
trying to find dishes when you need them. In addition clean as
you go when cooking.
Have some cleaning products available in the bathroom so you
are not running around looking for them when you want to
clean.
When cleaning, dust first starting at the top. Do this as well
with vacuuming moving any rugs, chairs or furniture and
moving them back. When cleaning floors, use a clean wet
towel under a mop spraying a floor cleaner on the floor.
The more frequently you clean something like a toilet, the
easier it will be.
